Bolton Wanderers are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Filipe Morais in the four two victory over Fleetwood Town at the weekend at Highbury Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Morais was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Bolton brought an end to Fleetwood Town’s 18-match unbeaten run with a 4-2 win at Highbury, and Morais was the architect of their downfall. After Adam Le Fondre’s opener, the Portuguese midfielder worked his magic with three assists, setting up David Wheater, Mark Beevers, and Le Fondre again to secure victory.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Morais for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Jamal Blackman (Wycombe Wanderers), Luke Wilkinson (Stevenage), Aden Flint (Bristol City), John Brayford (Burton Albion), Filipe Morais (Bolton Wanderers), Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham), Josh Wright (Gillingham), Kal Naismith (Portsmouth), Medy Elito (Cambridge United), JJ Hooper (Port Vale), Tom Barkhuizen (Preston North End).
