We brought in Giles Coke on loan from Sheffield Wednesday last week (Click Here) but the loan dealings might not be done yet with Neil Lennon said to be eyeing up another couple of players.
At the weekend the Bolton News said that Barry Bannan’s Crystal Palace teammate Paddy McCarthy was close to agreeing a loan deal until the end of the season? As yet this hasn’t been announced but it’s expected that the experienced defender will come in today.
Also being linked with us is Chelsea’s 19-year-old striker Islam Feruz.
Curiously Feruz has already had a spell in the Championship this season with Blackpool, joining them on loan in January but after just two appearances his loan spell was cut short and he returned to his Premier League parent club last week – next stop the Macron? We’ll find out soon enough….
Defensively we’ve had some problems in recent times, McCarthy is a vastly experienced defender that could be a good addition to the defence in my opinion. Not only does he has a wealth of experience, he has topflight pedigree, plenty of Championship previous and ‘is a leader’, which is what you need to the back four and the more leaders the better!
