This could be the only way BWFC could sign actually Adam Le Fondre this season, would you fans get behind this idea?
Peter Kay, we need you, here`s why.
In the summer of 2010, Watford FC legend Elton John, out of the kindness of his heart, performed a concert at the club`s home ground, Vicarage Road. The club took all the money, just over £600,000. A short while later, Troy Deeney arrived for around £500,000, fast forward five years, he has had three consecutive seasons scoring over 20 goals, and has lead them into Premier League dreamland as their captain.
Mr Kay, can you be our Elton John? Admittedly it`s a lot to ask, but we know you`re a local Bolton lad, and we`re all Bolton and Peter Kay fans, so it`s in everybody`s best interest.
Imagine if Peter Kay was kind enough to give up an evening for us, one performance from the comedy legend at The Macron could change our club`s fortunes.
Not only would it be a great night for all, it could give Bolton fans, and Neil Lennon the one thing we want.

Huge credit to Sam James, who set up a Go Fund Me page to try and raise funds to sign Le Fondre. Perhaps if we could try and get similar support for this, it could work?
Le Fondre`s price tag is thought to be around £1,000,000, but I`m sure some negotiating would be done to bring that number down a little. By next week we could have 28,732 tickets up for sale on the club`s website for anyone who wants to have a giggle for the night.
I don`t need to do the maths, but I will anyway. If tickets were available for £40, the revenue would add up to £1,120,000, if you take out some of the costs involved with setting up the evening, perhaps some cash for Peter Kay himself, you`d be left with the round figure of £1,000,000 needed to sign Le Fondre.
Personally, I think we should go for more, I`d happily pay twice that, £80 for an evening of entertainment from Peter Kay, and to support my club. 28,732 tickets sold at that price would bring in a fraction under £2,300,000.
Peter Kay is very popular, especially in our parts, as shown by his recent success with the TV show “Car Share” shown on the BBC. We might even have enough people wanting tickets to do two shows at The Macron. That`d make over £4,000,000. Imagine what Neil Lennon could do with that money to go towards wages and fees! That could buy you an Adam Le Fondre, a back up goalkeeper, a much needed right back, and leave you with plenty of money to finally offer contracts to Stephen Dobbie and Heskey.
I don`t know what financial situation the club is in, I know it isn’t a great one though, maybe £4,000,000 doesn’t touch the sides compared with what the club needs, but I`d like to think that amount of cash would at least bring ALF home.
Fans, Peter Kay, relevant people of Bolton Wanderers Football Club, and most importantly, Adam Le Fondre, we need you to come together and make this happen! There is no good reason why not!
