Bolton v Aris

With renewed confidence following a fantastic result (if not performance) against Man Utd last weekend, the Trotters will look to prove it was no fluke by making it two wins on the trot against Aris Salonika this evening.

William Hill put the side as 8/13 favourites to win, and by handing Stelios Giannakopoulos a rare start, Megson will hope fresh legs up front will get them scoring. At 5/1 to score at anytime in the match, Stelios could be the bet for the shrewd punter, as he will be looking to fight for a place on a more regular basis.

It looks unlikely that this Bolton side will be very much different to that which beat the defending League champions, and as a result, this game might not be the highest scoring game of the week. In fact, for Bolton to win 2-0, the odds of 5/1 could be very attractive to those who agree.

After a somewhat tempestuous affair at the Reebok on Saturday, I can’t see the attitudes of the players changing. For me, at 17/10, Bolton to receive the first card is one of the bets of the evening.
