American Tim Ream has bagged his second consecutive Player of the Year gong at Bolton Wanderers.

Having recently retained the Supporters’ Association Player of the Year award, he now retains his club award as well.

Having played 48 times so far for the club, Ream bagged 24% of the supporters vote to take the award.

Academy graduate Josh Vela was the runner up with 19% and Matt Mills came in third with 17%.

Speaking to the Official Site the 27 year old said.

“Winning this award once was a huge honour, but to do it twice, back to back, is beyond words and something that will always be a highlight of my career. It would not have been possible without the team and the guys around me though – it`s an award that could have been given to a handful of other players too, but to be chosen by the fans is truly something special.’

Ream went on to thank his colleagues, the manager and the coaching staff for their work this season and his hopes that next campaign is more fruitful on all fronts and he finally thanked the fans for their support and backing of him and the team this season.

‘It`s something that I`ll cherish for the rest of my life – I`ve been here for three-and-a-half years now and I`m happy both on and off the pitch, so this is just the icing on the cake.’
