Reflecting on Reading

There’s no doubt that Reading deserved the three points, if only for their energetic and skilful first half display. Bolton were tired and lethargic. Big Sam mentioned the heavy workload of the Arsenal and Chelsea games but didn’t use them as excuses.

We didn’t really tick until Campo came on. We can’t really afford to rest the fella. He’s the one player who keeps things moving in midfield. So what if he loses possession occasionally – he ‘s the best passer in the side.

Not many Wanderers players had good games but Nicky Hunt played well again. I don’t care what some Bolton fans say, he’s having a good season.

Idan Tal remains a mystery. He should have been on for Nolan at soem point to give the midfield a little extra quality going forward.

Fair play to Reading and we now look forward to West Ham at the weekend.
