Get the lowdown on Saturday’s opposition from a PNE supporter

Ahead of Saturday’s local derby we asked PNE fan Dean Seddon who and what to look out for

You were down near us when we played you at Deepdale, but since then you’ve really kicked on. Is it just a case of getting used to the Championship or was it a signing or some sort of change?

Yes, a massive change since we both played out a boring draw in October! We have a history of being slow starters. I’d say it’s just a case of getting used to being back in the Championship. Simon Grayson has a lot of experience in this league and I think that has played a massive part in our current position in the league.

What should we expect from you on Saturday in terms of style of play and tactics?

You can expect a massive following first and foremost! Nearly 5,000 fans are making the short trip down the M61. In terms of style I think it will be pretty much the same although our main striker Joe Garner is suspended! Personally I’d like to see Callum Robinson get a start along with Hugill up front and maybe Adam Reach and play an attacking 4-3-3.

Any particular Preston player to look out for?
Paul Gallagher, Daniel Johnson and Adam Reach

Jermaine Beckford’s played once since signing permanently in the summer? Injured or do you just have better strikers?

Unfortunately Jermaine is out with a long term injury which is devastating for him and the fans after him scoring a hat-trick at Wembley to send us up. I honestly can’t see him coming back but I believe he’s making very good progress and fingers crossed he does come back.

Prediction?

My prediction is that it’s going to be a very tough game! You got a very good draw against Ipswich on Tuesday. I think it will be a completely different game to what we watched in October! I’m going for a 2-0 win for Preston. I just think we have too much quality.
