The Macron Stadium

Bolton’s long association with Reebok comes to an end this summer with the Reebok Stadium to be renamed the Macron Stadium as part of a new sponsorship deal.

Since leaving Burnden Park for their new home 17-years ago it’s been known as the Reebok Stadium but with a new four-year deal signed with sports manufacturer Macron from July a ‘significant’ deal will involve renaming too.

Phil Gartside told the official website: ‘We have been very impressed with their passion for football and their ideas to grow our partnership.’

It’s the end of an era for Bolton isn’t it, but everything eventually changes doesn’t it. What do you make of this news?

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
