Josh Vela might end up ‘benefiting from his loan’ with Notts County but it isn’t going to be this season with Dougie Freedman deciding to allow the midfielder to extend this spell.

Initially the 20-year-old joined league one relegation threatened side Notts County on loan for a month but earlier this week Bolton agreed to him staying at Meadow Lane until the end of the season.

It’ll be good that he is going to get regular first-team football but, far be it for me to be critical from the outside looking in, wouldn’t the final games have been the ideal time to give him a run in the Bolton first-team?

Anyway, it isn’t going to happen with him staying with Notts County until the season is done.

Other news saw some reports that Leicester City could be plotting a £2m summer move for Mark Davies, who has previous at the King Power Stadium.

The midfielder spent a spell on loan with the premier league bound side back in 2008 and reports in the media claimed he could join them in the premier league in the summer but Leicester boss Nigel Pearson has denied an interest telling the Daily Express that his summer plans are for players that people ‘probably haven’t even heard of’.

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.
