We’ve picked four players. Vote for one of them.

September has been a poor month for Wanderers. After our brilliant start, we started the month at the top of the table and Phil Parkinson was Manager of the Month.

Skip forward four weeks or so and people atre criticising the style of play, we haven’t won in six league matches, and on Tuesday night dropped out of the playoff places.

I didn’t know these Manager of the Month curses lasted a month.

Anyway, we’ve listed our top four performers below, and you can vote with our poll facility.

We’ll announce the winner on Friday at 10pm. Or at least that’s when we will stop counting the votes.

James Henry
One of the deadline day quintet of signings, I probably would have liked to seen more from James Henry, but in most games he has been one of the stronger performers. He somehow conspired to miss a sitter against Rochdale on Tuesday then hit the woodwork late on.

Keshi Anderson
It probably sums up our month that one great performance can get you on this shortlist, and that is sort of what has happened with Anderson. He scored on his debut against Southend was a real threat with his pace in that game. He hasn’t quite hit those heights since, and was sent off at Walsall for two bookable offences.

Mark Beevers
Our defensive performances have remained pretty solid this month, keeping a clean sheet against Bradford and never conceding more than one goal in any game. Beevers has been instrumental in that, and also managed to get on the scoresheet with the opener at home to MK Dons. H was unavailable on Tuesday night and it seemed to show.

Sammy Ameobi
In my day job I work with a Newcastle fan. When we signed Ameobi he told me, ‘You just don’t kow what he’s going to do. Neither does he.’

That has been Ameobi so far. And while it can be frustrating, he has provided some spark on the wing that Chris Taylor hasn’t provided, particularly at Rochdale where later on he seemed to be the only hope of creating something.
