Who Won Our October Player of the Month Award?

|

We asked you the other day to vote for the Vital Bolton Player of the Month award for October. 49 of you gritted your death and picked one of the four options – and the final results are in.

In the end, in what was let’s face it, a rubbish month for our club, Jack Hobbs was the winner after taking 57% of the vote. The central defender had to wait to get his chance in the team initially but has managed to dislodge the previously number one partnership of Mark Beevers and David Wheater. What’s more, he has avoided any injuries after being blighted by them in recent years.

Joe Williams got second place in the poll picking up 22% of votes, while Josh Magennis picked up around 20% to finish third.

Rather oddly, Christian Doidge got 0% – whether Twitter’s algorithms are being a bit funny and somebody did vote for him we don’t know, but it’s surprising that the scorer of our only goal this month didn’t get a chunk of votes for that reason alone.
