Former Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has withdrawn from the race to become the next Blackburn Rovers manager. Allardyce was never the fans choice, but online petitions, seething mobs roaming the streets and women strapping themselves to the railings outside Ewood Park won`t have bothered him.
The idea of being passed over in favour of Paul Ince will do. The MK Dons manager doesn`t have the necessary qualifications to manage in the Premier League and Allardyce was one of the most vocal critics when Glen Roeder and Gareth Southgate were appointed despite lacking the Uefa Pro Coaching Licence.
What now for Allardyce? Maybe Steve McClaren wants an assistant at FC Twente. Make the call Sam.
