Bolton Game Picked For Live TV Coverage

|

We’ve still not been taken over, we can still barely field a team, but the season isn’t going away, and neither seemingly are the Sky Sports cameras.

Our game at home to Bury has been picked for live television coverage, and so the match has been put back to Sunday 8th September, kicking off at noon.

With both us and the Shakers suffering at the hands of bad owners, it’s an easy bit of narrative for Sky, who could probably fill far more than the probable half-hour buildup if it came to them dissecting both Ken Anderson and Steve Dale’s actions. Not to mention, it’s also a local derby. The kick-off time is a bit rubbish, but at least they haven’t done it for an away trip to Gillingham.

Our trip to Gigg Lane later in the season is also a midday kick-off, but that’s seemingly down to police advice rather than for television purposes. When we met two seasons ago the away game was televised, with us winning 2-0 on a Monday night in October.

Sky must show a combined minimum of 20 games from across Leagues One and Two this season. There will be three of those prior to Bolton v Bury. Unsurprisingly the League Two match features, you guessed it, Salford.
