Bolton Move For Goalkeeper Unlikely

|

Bolton still need to sign a good few players in all manner of positions.

One of those could arguably be a goalkeeper. Ben Alnwick has been signed up, while Jake Turner has promise and some would argue for him to become the new number two keeper. However, Mark Howard’s departure, along with another loan move for Ben Amos on Friday, means we could do with an extra pair of gloves around the place.

There was a line today about Boaz Myhill being that pair of hands. The Welshman, real name Glyn (means nothing but I wanted to laugh at the name) has been training with Wanderers but it may not seem a move for him will actually materialise.

Age is a bit of a downer but he probably would have been a good move. He’s experienced and probably would have been an upgrade on Mark Howard, who you would expect will be the player being replaced, rather than Amos, who has been a Bolton player in nothing more than technical terms for the last two and a bit seasons. It would be unfair to usurp Ben Alnwick though, who was largely great last season for us.
