Bolton v Charlton – Team News

Bolton and Charlton, in all honesty, have ‘little to play for’ now but it doesn’t mean that the season for either should ‘fizzle out’ into nothingness does it!

Although we know that we’ll either see a game tonight between two sides with pressure off that will entertain or it will be a typical drab end of season affair….

I’m fairly certain that I know what option most would prefer at the Macron Stadium tonight as we look to improve on our run of only one win in the last five-matches we’ve played, although the defeat to promotion chasing Norwich on Saturday was our first home defeat in five.

Mark Davies (knee) returned to the bench on Saturday and could have his first involvement of the year, his first since November in fact, with Matt Mills (ankle) also set to return after missing that one.

Craig Davies and Darren Pratley (both hamstrings) keep being troubled and will miss out along with Max Clayton (ankle), Zach Clough (shoulder), David Wheater (hamstring), Marc Tierney (broken leg) and Simeon Slavchev (ankle).

Charlton captain Johnnie Jackson (leg) will likely miss this one along with the definitely absent Callum Harriott (ankle) and Franck Moussa (knee). Former Bolton man Chris Eagles could well face us.

We’ll be looking to prevent Charlton from completing the double, having beaten us two-one at the Valley back in October. They’re also unbeaten against us in the last four, dating back to 2012 so we’ll be looking to end that run….

But will we?
