Hull City manager Phil Brown is hoping to have talks with departing Bolton player Stelios Giannakopoulos within the next few days. With a number of players heading up the M62 from the Reebok, Brown would be better hiring a mini-bus, to save on petrol and enhance Hull`s carbon foot-print.

‘I will be talking to his agent when I get back (from holiday) and I will be talking to the player himself soon,’ Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.

‘He has gone back to Greece with his family, who I know very well, and he has only just finished his season with Greece at Euro 2008.

‘I’m sure there will be an opportunity to speak to him in the near future.’

Many Bolton fans thought that the diminutive midfielder was worth another year, but clearly he isn`t Gary Megson`s sort of player (ie a big hoofer). A newly promoted club like Hull could do worse than Stelios, who is hardworking, experienced at top-level and a known in the box goal-poacher.
