Nearly everyone at the Reebok wants Jay Spearing back in a Wanderers shirt. I know one man who probably doesn’t

96% of Bolton Wanderers supporters would welcome Jay Spearing back at the Reebok this summer. But if you were at Turf Moor on Saturday, 100% voiced their approval.

Promotion is still very much at the forethought of many Whites supporter. Of course, to gain promotion, the right personnel have to be in-place, on and off the field. According to Dougie, fans have been ‘educated` in what he`s trying to do. So, if we`ve got the right man off the field to gain our place back in the top-flight, have we got the right blend on it?

If we can all agree, Saturday`s performance showed glimpses of brilliance, as well of flashes of weakness. A bedding-in of sorts is needed for our defence before an individual critique can be done, player-for-player. However, there is one man in our team who played at Burnley, whom has already received my final critique. I know, one-game into the season isn`t much playing time to form such a profile. But I have been adding to this player`s portfolio since he arrived at the Reebok and I`m afraid my verdict is in? I`m done with him.

Apart from a few penalties scored during the middle of last season, Keith Andrews has delivered very little. His passing is terrible, his tackling is average and his ‘ability` to disappear during a match is mindboggling. It is almost expected for a flair-player to go missing for large spells of the 90 minutes, either because he is double-man marked, the team is under the cosh, or just because the artistic inspiration hasn`t hit him yet. But for a defensive midfielder to go missing during a game, especially when the opposition is enjoying the majority of possession, is unacceptable.
He may have been forgiven if his defensive demonstration countered his abysmal attacking display. But it was left to Medo time and again to mop up the mess.

The fans want Jay Spearing back; Dougie Freedman wants Jay Spearing back. Even the Wanderers` players want Jay Spearing back. There`s probably only Keith Andrews who doesn`t want Jay Spearing back.

We all know why
