It’s another slow day so far. Just another little rant of mine
This column is becoming more like an agony-aunt site than a football forum for the fans. With my minor cracking-up last week and your comments of differing levels of disarray, we`re projecting things seem to be a shambles at Bolton Wanderers. I`m not saying they are a shambles, only that they seem like a shambles. But if things carry on seemingly shambolic- with the boo-boys exercising their vocal chords- ‘seemingly` will become reality.
I`m sure you`re the same as me; you`re constantly looking online to see if the Whites are close to signing someone. If no player is in the pipelines, while things are the way they are, no news is good news. I don`t want to hear projections, theories and half-hearted promises from players or staff that things are going to turn around. When I see it I`ll start listening. But, as though someone handed him a handful of salt to thoroughly rub into our gaping wounds, Zat Knight is sent to talk to the press. Not only talk to the press, but talk to the press about Jermaine Beckford.
The lazy, spent, inept defender is rolled out to comfort disgruntled supporters that the lazy, spent, inept striker will come good.
Brilliant, thanks Zat. I was beginning to worry the club had decided to put all our goal-scoring eggs into the basket of a man too lazy to carry it.
To make matters worse, the 6 foot 5 man (my fingers refused to write defender) is also under the illusion the Wanderers deserved something from the QPR game.
Knight knows QPR were superior to us in every department and to patronise fans by using the Jedi Mind-Trick to sway our opinion, is shameful.
If BWFC have nothing to report, rather than sending out Zat, insulting supporters` intelligence or risk riling them further, I suggest you heed the words of an ex Boyzone member: you say it best, when you say nothing at all.
