Could Bolton Sign A Winger Soon?

|

Wanderers reportedly in for Niall McGinn

Unless you live under a rock, you’ll know Bolton went up yesterday. It will be a summer of change at the Macron, with players out of contract and reinforcements needed for Championship football.

If the Express is to be believed, Wanderers are looking north of the border for their first.

Niall McGinn’s contract at Aberdeen expires this summer, and although they would like him to stay, and also an offer from Hearts reportedly on the table, he wants to return to English football.

Bolton is one possible destination, with Ipswich in the race and Fleetwood potentially interested should they join us in the second tier, where he would link up with former boss Uwe Rosler.

McGinn, 29, is quick and direct, and played for Northern Ireland at the last Euros, scoring the second goal in the win over Ukraine. He would be a really good signing, having impressed at Aberdeen in the last five years.
