Bolton have lost Neil Danns and Kevin McNaughton at the end of their loan deals, and they’ve both now returned to their parent clubs.

Danns, who scored the last of his four goals to secure the 1-0 win at Barnsley on Boxing Day, had made 13 appearances during his loan spell from Leicester that began in September.

McNaughton, who arrived around the same time as Danns when he came in from Cardiff, also played 13 times for Bolton but unlike Danns featured in every minute of every game that he could play in. His goal against Charlton recently ensured that Bolton earned a 1-1 draw in that game.

They leave with the clubs thanks, this was the official line: ‘Bolton Wanderers would like to thank both Neil and Kevin for their contributions during their time with the club.’

If Bolton wanted to extend the loans or not is unknown, but both have now returned to their clubs.

Ironically Danns could make his Leicester return against Bolton on Sunday when the two sides meet, what a twist of fate it would be that he scores a winner for Bolton one game then scored against them the next!

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
