Leicester v Bolton

It’s from one extreme to the other for Bolton on Sunday, Boxing Day saw Bolton play (and beat) bottom of the table Barnsley. This time it’s off to top of the table Leicester.

Injuries to Chris Wood (hamstring), Tom Hopper (shin) and Sean St. Ledger (groin) are ongoing and they’ll be likely to miss out again but positively for them, maybe not Bolton; is that Leicester don’t have any new injuries to deal with.

Neil Danns ended his loan spell with Bolton by scoring the winning goal against Barnsley, he’s returned to Leicester and he could turn this time against Bolton!

Bolton are without Danns, of course, as well as Kevin McNaughton with them both ending their loan spells after the Barnsley win so Dougie Freedman will have to make at least a couple of changes.

Matt Mills, Chu-Young Lee, Medo and Andre Moritz are among those looking for a recall and Mark Davies continues to work back to full fitness after his long-term knee problem.

Stuart Holden, Joe Riley, Adam Bogdan and Marc Tierney remain sidelined.

Barnsley is a much different proposition to Leicester but if there isn’t much believe that a result can be gained at the King Power Stadium why bother taking part in the game, but realism is something that needs to be show ahead of this game….

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
