End As We Mean To Go On

That’s the message from Jermaine Beckford anyway; he’s calling for Bolton to ‘continue this run into the start of next season’.

Much like Adam Bogdan before him the striker has bemoaned the form coming good at the wrong time, or the right time depending on which way you look at it as if the form hadn’t arrived at all Bolton wouldn’t be around the midtable mark and safe in the championship.

Beckford has gone as far as saying that he doesn’t feel the Bolton form has actually been that bad and has said that some ‘misfortune’ has also played a part.

Ending strongly and building for next season are the 30-year-olds aims now.

Beckford told BBC Radio Manchester: ‘I don’t feel that our performances have been bad. It’s been a little bit of misfortune here and hard luck there.

‘Now things seem to be falling in the right place at the right time for us and we’re getting well-earned victories at last.

‘We’re building for the future and hopefully we can continue this run into the start of next season.’

I can’t really comment on Beckford’s ‘misfortune’ thoughts, does he have a point?

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
