Bolton could be closing in on signing number four if the Bolton News is correct.

Liam Feeney wanted to bring his former Millwall loanee to the Reebok Stadium in January but it wasn’t a deal that could be arranged but a fourth player to arrive on a free transfer is expected to be confirmed shortly.

The 27-year-old will be officially signed in July when his contract with Millwall expires.

Already signed this summer, on frees, are Neil Danns from Leicester City, Liam Trotter also from Millwall and Dorian Dervite from Charlton Athletic.

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.
