Dougie Freedman says that ‘uncharacteristic lapses in concentration’ are what costs Bolton defeat at Watford on Saturday.

Against a potent strike for of Troy Deeney and Matej Vydra, scorers of the opening two goals, you can’t give away too many chances or you will be punished. This is exactly what Wanderers did!

Watford wrapped up a three-nil win at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon when substitute Fernando Forestieri added the final touch.

Freedman felt that his side ‘gave it a right good do’ in the second half, but the damage was done also these chances weren’t taken.

He said: ‘Uncharacteristic lapses in concentration presented them with two opportunities and, when you’re dealing with the best two strikers in the division, you can’t do that.

‘In the second half, I thought we gave it a right good go and created opportunities but we didn’t take them.’
