Bolton Wanderers will once again play Tranmere Rovers in a friendly game prior to the new season. The corresponding fixture last year prompted a massive clean up in Birkenhead, in preparation for the visit of a team who are regarded as football royalty in the town. The match will take place on Tuesday 29th July at 7.45pm. Tranmere are reminded that they will need to pay the electricity bill in good time as floodlights will be needed.
The Whites will also play at Rochdale on Friday 25th July and against newly promoted Doncaster Rovers on Friday 1st August at the Keepmoat Stadium.
