League Cup Seeding For Bolton

As you’d expect, being a championship club, Bolton will be seeded for the first round of the league cup (Capital One Cup) taking place next week.

I’m not a fan of clubs being seeded to therefore, theoretically, gaining an ‘advantage’ but hey ho that is the modern era of football – then again this is cup football and anything can happen, as we well know.

The ‘regional divide’ is also something that I’m not overly keen on, and this happens at the first round stage of the league cup – again though, given the stage of the season, I guess I can see the merits too that too.

Anyway, enough of this and too the point! Bolton are one of the 18 seeded sides in the northern section of the cup and as such know that they’ll face one of the following teams when the draw is made next Tuesday.
