Nolan to Leave Bolton

Skipper Kevin Nolan will follow Sam Allardyce out of Bolton Wanderers in the next devastating blow for the crisis club.

The midfield dynamo has come through the ranks at The Reebok under Sam Allardyce’s guidance, but he is thinking about heading for the exit door at the end of the season too.

The words are from the Hans Christian Andersen of football journalism aka Alan Nixon, and they were written on 30th April 2007. The same afternoon Nolan pledged his commitment to the Whites. The Daily Mirror, who employ Nixon, also claimed that Bolton`s wage bill was £42 million, an over estimation of a mere £12 million.

The above should be borne in mind when digesting Nixon`s latest fantasy. According to The People, Gary Megson is keen to sign jail bird Joey Barton and super-crock Louis Saha on loan. As Barton is still to stand trial for his alleged attack on former team-mate Ousmane Dabo, it seems unlikely that any team would consider him, unless it`s Strangeways first eleven. The idea that Megson, currently on holiday, has been sharing his plans with a grubby rag like The People is equally improbable.

Neither Saha or Barton will be at Bolton next season. This can be taken as certain because Alan Nixon says they will be.
