Not Good Enough

Since the last season ended Vital Bolton has been running a poll, perhaps it ran for a little too long, looking for opinions on how you viewed the 2013/2014 campaign.

This was ranked on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 the highest, with Bolton’s championship efforts given a ‘below average 4.’

On a scale of 1-10 how did the 2013/14 season rate?
4 – 25%
5 – 21%
1 – 19%
3 – 11%
2 – 6%
6 – 5%
7 – 5%
10 – 4%
8 – 2%
9 – 2%

Had the season continued the way it was going at one point then I think, from the outside looking in, that 4 would have been a generous score but as things improved I feel you can understand why most think it was below average.

Something much higher, I would guess ‘above average’ at least would be the aims when the 2014/15 season ends with midtable the minimum expectation, a challenge for the play-offs though must be in most people’s minds….

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.
