It’s not often I have sympathy with anything to do with West Ham.

Yet even I find the sacking this afternoon of Alan Pardew strange and sad. Here is a man who took them to the FA Cup Final and into Europe. OK, they’re time in the uEFA Cup was short but how much of that is Pardew’s fault?

Who negotiated the deal that took the two Argnetine’s to The Bolelyn Ground and unsettled the squad? Who didn’t tell Reo-Coker that Arsenal had come sniffing leaving the lad disillusioned?

But, I guess, Pardew is working with the players everyday. It’s his responsibility to get them ready for each game and that wasn’t happening.

It’s a shame for a man who’s acted with dignity these last few months. Money talks and with a big backer, you need to have results.

Watch out Liverpool and Benitez!
