It’s a date at the Palace, but rather than seeing a 90 year old woman, Bolton will be once again taking on Sam Allardyce and his struggling Palace side, with a struggling Man City awaiting.

Bolton have their own poor result that they will be coming off the back of though, after Saturday’s disappointing loss.

Vital Quotes:

‘If a team with Premier League players cannot beat one from Division One, and on their ground, it tells me an awful lot about those players…because if you cannot beat Bolton you cannot expect to play in the first team’

Allardyce’s quotes, which should be copied, pasted into Word, enlarged, printed, and stuck on the dressing room wall.

Crystal Palace Team News:

Bakary Sako and Wilfried Zaha are again on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, which started this weekend. Scott Dann is rested while Fraiser Campbell has a hamstring injury. Jeffrey Schlupp could be involved after he signed from Leicester recently.

Keshi Anderson, who returned to Palace on Monday, is cup tied.

Player to watch: Loic Remy

I wasn’t at the original tie but someone I spoke to said he was good, and he is alright to an extent, so he will do. Nearly scored against us too.

Bolton Wanderers Team News:

Expect a similar lineup to recent games, there are no new injury worries.

Player to watch: Zach Clough

We’d like you to step up please, Zach.

He hasn’t been at his best in recent games, whether fatigue has played a part, I don’t know, he hasn’t been used to playing senior football week in week out. But a great performance tomorrow would address recent criticism.

Match Facts & Stats

This is our first trip to Selhurst since 2013, when we drew 0-0 in the Championship.

Our last goal at this ground came in 2005, in a 1-0 Premier League win.

Palace have failed to win a game since Allardyce was appointed as Palace boss, in that period Bolton have won twice and drawn two, with one loss.

Match Prediction:

I’ll be realistic. If we were to win, it will be an upset. But I expect us to give it everything and we will give them a game. Palace 2-1 Bolton.

Next Fixtures:

Southend away on Saturday, and then it’s either Charlton or Man City a week later
