On Sky

Bolton travel to Peterborough, a place which is inconvenient to get to from anywhere, probably including Peterborough itself, on a Sunday lunchtime. Thanks Sky.

Anyway, after Saturday’s results a win would take Bolton back above Bradford and back into second place, and keep up the pressure on Scunthorpe at the top.

Vital Quotes:

‘They’ve done well over the last few years. They have some good technical players which we have to respect. They can leave themselves open. But it’s a club that has been ran very well.’

Phil Parkinson, saying nice things about the opposition.

Peterborough United Team News:

Lee Angol came through 90 minutes of a reserve game the otehr night. Jermaine Anderson is out with a long term injury, but everyone else should be OK.

Player to watch: Tom Nichols

The Posh (what a rubbish nickname) have spread their goals around with this season, but Nichols just edges ahead of the rest with six in all competitions.

He’s only 23 as well, so could be a decent player in the future.

Bolton Wanderers Team News:

Derik and Tom Thorpe could be back, Jay Spearing is getting better as well according to Parkinson, but is still likely to be out for a few weeks.

Max Clayton could be involved after getting on towards the end of Tuesday’s game.

Player to watch: Zach Clough

Who else at the moment? Fresh from picking up a bag of Player of the Month awards, another chance fir Clough to score in front of the Sky cameras after his brace against Bury.

Match Facts & Stats

We’ve only been to london Road four times ever, but there have 19 goals in those four games. The last visit in 2012 ended 5-4 to Peterborough, so expect a goalless draw.

The teams last met in February 2013 at the reebok, Craig Dawson headed in an early goal to give us a 1-0 win.

Match Prediction:

In keeping with the history of goals when we go to Peterborough, I will fancy us to prevail with a 3-2 win.

Next Fixtures:

Two home games, Millwall and Coventry visit the Macron.
