Primary Target Missed

It has been confirmed that Bolton’s ‘primary transfer target’ Lukas Jutkiewicz has been missed after he completed his transfer to Burnley today, signing a three-year deal for £1.5m.

This is, whatever way you look at it, a blow for Bolton as at 25 he should in theory only improve and fitted in well at Wanderers working well under Dougie Freeman’s way on playing.

Unfortunately the reality is that Bolton couldn’t compete with the money being offered by Burnley to Middlesbrough, even if £1.5m might not seem ‘a lot’ in this day and age of football, for Bolton it is though and if you haven’t got it you can’t, or at least shouldn’t, spend it….

Freedman will have to look elsewhere now as you don’t seem to think that what is already in place will be enough, will it?
