Wanderers fans will be relieved that Ricardo Gardner has indicated that he wishes to stay with the club. This is mainly because the prospect of having Jlloyd Samuel as first choice left back is too horrifying to think about.
‘Next season we’ll just need to start fresh and get back to the things that we do well as a team,’ said Gardner from a training camp in Jamaica. The long-serving defender signed for Bolton after the 1998 World Cup and is best known for his pace, inability to find team mates with a pass and for having lots of knee operations. The chances of him signing for anyone else are greatly reduced as he probably wouldn`t pass a medical. He`s still preferable to J-Lo though.
