Sarcevic Back and Crawford Update Ahead of Bolton’s Next Friendly

|

Bolton take on FC United of Manchester in tomorrow’s latest pre-season friendly, looking to make it three wins out of three.

Again it’s a chance for Wanderers to improve, and get things further fine-tuned, ahead of the first league game in three weeks time. Antoni Sarcevic will be available once again after having to come off early against Longridge last Saturday. Ali Crawford has trained, but a decision was yet to be made on whether he could play when Ian Evatt last spoke. Dennis Politic and Eoin Doyle will both miss the match because of COVID.

Like Tuesday, Bolton are playing another Northern Premier League side, although a larger and potentially less friendly crowd from our point of view will be at Broadhurst Park. I don’t know whether we’ll go with the two teams thing again, maybe this is the last time we do that, as once we get to midweek, we’ll have both the ‘main’ friendly against Preston, and the Bolton XI game against Bamber Bridge, which would seem an obvious junction to start giving players full matches, or near enough a full match.
