We spoke to our friends at Vital Leeds to give us the lowdown on Saturday’s opponents

With Bolton travelling over the Pennines on Saturday, we spoke to Vital Leeds editor dazza71 on what to expect. Safe to say he’s not expecting a classic…

It’s not too long since you beat us at our place in the Cup. Results haven’t been too good though since then?

Not being disrespectful, but I thought Bolton made us look good on that day. If you had taken your chances, especially in the first half, the result could have been much different.

Away from home, we have teams pressing us more rather than sitting back, so we can hit teams on the break. Our biggest problem is, we need a goalscorer. Until Brighton on Monday evening, we had actually done well this season defensively and for a team in the bottom eight, we hadn`t conceded many goals. Our problem is we have no one at the other end to score goals.

Opinions on Massimo Cellino and Steve Evans. Who takes how much of the blame at the moment?

I think most of what Cellino has done has been good for the club. His biggest problem has been is that he promised many things that he hasn`t delivered on like buying back the ground, the training ground and he said we would be a Premier League side by the end of the season.

If he had come in and said, ‘Give me two years to sort things out,` I don`t think he would have sections of the fans against him. Most of the publicity is on those protesting but I would say it is a 50/50 split on those for him and those against.

My biggest wish is, sometimes I really wish he would think before his actions.

Regarding Evans, I think he could do well but I think he has got a bit carried away and he is another who promised this that and the other. I thought he might be sacked after Monday. A defeat to Bolton on Saturday and he will be sacked on Saturday night. Saying all that, there is still two days to the game so he could still go before Saturday with the record of Cellino.

What should we expect from you on Saturday? Style of play, tactics, the like

We will play one up front, which at home is a waste of time because we cannot break teams down. Without checking, we are probably one of the lowest scorers at home in the Football League. We usually look OK until the final third.

Editor’s Note: Leeds are the lowest home scorers in the Championship. We are somehow 17th. Somehow.

Any particular player which we should worry about or watch out for?

Got to be honest, I wouldn`t be worried about any of our players. We certainly don’t have a game changer or someone who gets us on the edge of our seats.

Score prediction?

0-0 – We just don’t score at home. I think Giuseppe Bellusci will be back in the side for Sol Bamba in defence, so we will look more solid at the back again.
