Spurs: Round 4

After running Spurs close twice this season (let’s forget the Cup replay) Bolton get a fourth bite at the cherry whilst having one eye on the beach.

Vital Quotes:

‘Our goal will be to try and win six points from the remaining games’. St. Owen Coyle remains positive.

‘Bolton caused Chelsea all sorts of problems recently and then went and won at Stoke and we all know how hard it is to get anything at the Britannia’ You’d think Honest Harry would be able to notice a smash and grab when he sees one.

Tottenham Team News:

Ledley King may or may not be available, but that is pretty much the story every game. Diminutive wing man Aaron Lennon may start to continue his bewilderment of Bolton’s left backs.

Player to watch: Aaron Lennon

The aforementioned Aaron Lennon who has the talent to make Paul Robinson look like an average player, or a below average player, or a Conference player, depending on your view of Paul Robinson.

Bolton Team News:

Yankee Stuart Holden has returned from injury, just in time to make a late run for the US World Cup squad. Sean Davis has been training but at the moment Phil Gartside is fitter. Otherwise it’s pretty much as you were from last week, whether that’s a good thing or not.

Player to watch: All Of Them

After last weekend’s witless second half performance expect lots of composed passing and runs off the ball/headless chicken impersonations.

Match Facts & Stats

Since coming back into the Premiership Bolton lead Spurs 8-5 in league wins with four draws. All Spurs’ wins have been at the Lane.

Ref Watch:

Chris Foy has taken charge of four Bolton games this season but didn’t last the full ninety minutes in the game at Ewood Park, but then neither did any of the Bolton players.

Match Prediction:

Go on, as it’s my first one, 2-0 to Bolton. I’ve had a fiver on 2-0 every game this season and up to now have won exactly £12 thanks to the win over Lincoln. If Bolton win this one 2-0 however, I’m off to Vegas.

Next Fixtures:

Birmingham City visit the Reebok in the last game of the season for a glorified kick around.
