Surely No Changes For Bolton v Cambridge?

|

After three successive wins, including that 6-0 win on Saturday, things feel good again as Bolton step into February with game against Cambridge.

This was due to be played a few weeks ago, but Cambridge’s FA Cup progression saw the game moved back to now, and in the time, well just look at what we’ve done with the squad!

Team news

Surely we’ll be unchanged! Kyle Dempsey hasn’t signed at the time of writing, and needed to sign much earlier in the day if he was to be available for the match.

Possible XI: Trafford; Jones, Almeida Santos, Johnston; Fossey, Morley, Williams, Lee, John; Afolayan, Charles

Last meeting

Our last home game against Cambridge was last March, when we made it 10 matches unbeaten en route to promotion. Eoin Doyle and Antoni Sarcevic scored our goals, before Kyle Knoyle pulled one back for a nervy finish, but we would win 2-1.

The opposition

Cambridge are in good form, 12th in the league and unbeaten in five, and that’s before we mention their FA Cup away to Newcastle. Joe Ironside, who assisted their goal at the UniBol last season, has become chief goalscorer in the wake of Paul Mullin’s summer departure, with 13 goals this season. They have made two loan signings in January at the time of writing – defender Sam Sherring from Bournemouth and striker Lorent Tolaj from Brighton.

Prediction

Probably not 6-0 again, but we should be confident of another victory. 2-1.
