But for the ‘Liverpool late show’ in the FA Cup replay at Anfield it would have been an FA Cup tie against Crystal Palace this weekend, instead it’s Watford in the Championship.

Bolton welcome promotion chasing Watford, ‘promotion chasing’ is something we’ll be looking for next season, to the Macron on Saturday afternoon.

The injury list is a long one for Neil Lennon but he might at least have Matt Mills (knee) back now that he’s in full training again.

Emile Heskey and Craig Davies (both hamstring) are close to but next weekend is though to be more likely.

Mark Davies (knee), Darren Pratley (hamstring), Adam Bogdan (ankle), Max Clayton (knee) and Liam Trotter (thigh) will be out for a while longer.

Watford missed Gianni Munari (foot) in midweek but with him back in training he’ll feature if a fitness test is past. Sean Murray (knee) is the only key confirmed absentee for the visitors.

A three-nil win at Vicarage Road for Watford came against a different Bolton side, we would hope to put up a better fist of things and keep a good record going against them that we have at home against then that has seen us win seven of the last nine – not losing at home since 1998….
