Vital Bolton Player of the Season Revealed

|

The results are in for the 2017-18 Vital Bolton Player of the Season Award, and the prize has gone the same way as the official club award. Ben Alnwick came out on top of our vote – picking up nearly half of all the votes cast.

The numbers aren’t too much of a surprise, Alnwick and Adam Le Fondre were probably the two standout performers in the second half of the campaign at the back and going forward respectively, and the two of them took 69% of all votes cast. Given the praise for Karl Henry, I’m a touch surprised he didn’t get more support. But the Bolton Twitterati have spoken.

Here are the full results, and we’d like to thank the sole person who voted for Filipe Morais, to ensure everyone got something.

1st Ben Alnwick – 44
2nd Adam Le Fondre – 27
3rd Karl Henry – 9
4th= Sammy Ameobi – 8
4th= David Wheater – 8
6th Darren Pratley – 4
7th Mark Beevers – 3
8th Filipe Morais – 1
