Conor Wilkinson has returned to Oldham for another loan spell, with Bolton agreeing to a request to take him back to Boundary Park.

Wilkinson enjoyed a successful spell with Oldham earlier in the season, during his brief spell with the league 1 outfit he scored once in seven-appearances and that earned him a contract extension at the Macron.

The Republic of Ireland U21 international has played for us seven times this season but the remainder of his first-team football this season will come with Oldham again with this loan taking him through until the summer.

Oldham wanted to keep in when his loan previously ended, we weren’t so sure but this is a move that makes sense really as it’ll give Wilkinson the regular first-team football that his continued development needs.
