We’ll be posting articles every few hours today to round up all the latest ingoings and outgoings news. We would have done a live blog, like in the summer, but I have work later…

CONFIRMED TRANSFERS

Nothing yet. Nada, zilch, whatever.

WHAT COULD HAPPEN?

Firstly, we have four loanees at the moment. Only five can be used in any matchday squad.

As for the two signings nearly everyone would love to see, Adam Le Fondre would seem unlikely to be moving. Wigan team-mate Yanic Wildschut has handed in a transfer request, which would leave Le Fondre one of four forwards at the club (two of them aged 22 and 18, and other being Will Grigg, whose fire has been well and truly put out)

The chance of Sammy Ameobi leaving may have a lot to do with who Newcastle could get in. They are interested in bringing back Andros Townsend, if that was to happen, Ameobi may be surplus to requirements on Tyneside, and under FIFA rules, we’re the only other club he can play for this season.

Preston striker Eoin Doyle has been linked with a loan move down the road in recent weeks, those rumours aren’t going away yet, and we’re one of three interested clubs.

Bradford right-back Stephen Darby has been linked with a move to the Macron, but the local paper in Bradford have said the Bantams turned down Bolton’s request, as part of a swap for Jamie Proctor, who is also wanted by Portsmouth and Port Vale.

Another player potentially leaving us is Chris Taylor with Oldham interested in bringing the player back to his home town club, but no progress has been made there.

Check back throughout the day, where we will keep you up do date with developments.
