Let’s hope so

If reports are to be believed- they must be true, right? – Bolton Wanderers have completed the signing of Jermaine Beckford from Leicester City,

The Foxes were desperate to get the former Everton and Leeds United man off of the wage bill and if reports are true, Beckford has now completed his move to the Wanderers for a reported fee of £1 million. Various reports are suggesting the Whites will stump up an initial fee of £800,000 plus add-ons. The add-ons being..? Games played? Goals scored? Let`s hope it`s goals scored?

Leicester City paid £2.5 million for Beckford on transfer deadline day in 2011 and the Jamaican international went on to only score 15 goals in his 49 games for the Foxes. The striker was made available for transfer at the end of last season, where he was loaned to fellow Championship side Huddersfield Town, scoring eight goals in 21 appearances.

Let`s hope Beckford can put the past few years of inconsistency and disharmony behind him and find his Leeds form during his Bolton tenure.

It`s been a busy few days welcoming the new arrivals, I feel like a doorman! Welcome to the Reebok, Jermaine? You know, when you get here.
