‘Keeper To Join Bolton

Bolton have agreed a deal to sign young Crystal Palace ‘keeper Ross Fitzsimons.

The 20-year-old, who came though the Palace youth system to play for their U21 side, has been snapped up by Dougie Freedman to give him another option in goal going forward with him arriving on July 1st signing a two-year contract.

Fitzsimons has had loan spells with Hendon, Farnborough and Havant & Waterlooville over the years but will now be looking to make the grade at a higher level with Bolton offering greater competition to Adam Bogdan and Andy Lonergan, which must put question marks over the long-term futures of one of them?

You’d also think that a deal with Arran Lee-Barrett is now unlikely with the ‘keeper, brought in last season as cover, previously unable to agree terms on a new contract.

This signing makes it six for Bolton now.

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
