It has been an eventful week for Bolton. Two home wins, but lots of talk of Saudi interest and boardroom politics, as well as a cancelled Q&A from Ken Anderson. Those accounts still haven’t been published by the way.
At least there’s a chance to get back to the football now. We travel to Northampton, who started the season quite well, but have now fallen away into mid-table.

Player to watch: Matt Taylor
One of Gary Megson’s first signings for us, Taylor has since enjoyed playimg for claret and blue teams, representing West Ham and Burnley, before joining Northampton in the summer. He has four goals in the league and still has those free kicks in the locker.

We should see a settled side. Liam Trotter is longer suspended so it’s a case of how his injury is.
Player to watch: Gary Madine
There’s been a bit of talk about him this week and what he brings to the team. I think he does the target man side of things very well, but it’s been a while since he’s got on the scoresheet, a goal would do him a few favours.

I’ll go for a 1-0 win, but we do need to play better than the second half against Coventry. We got away with that a bit.
