I had the opportunity to ask Bolton starlet, Jamie Thomas a few questions.

Jamie Thomas is a Bolton U18 and Wales U19 striker. He’s been in superb form recently and scored four goals in our 5-1 win over Blackburn’s U18 side. I asked him a few questions…

Q: Congratulations on you 4 goals last match for the U18s- many Bolton fans want to see you join some of the emerging talents at Bolton such as Hayden White and Oscar Threlkeld in the near future. When do you think you’ll be ready?

A: That’s not for me to decide, I’m just concentrating on working hard and scoring goals, hopefully my time will come sooner rather than later.

Q: For those who haven’t heard of or seen much of you, how would you describe your game?

A: I would describe myself as a modern day number 10, I like to get on the ball and score goals.

Q: How do you think the U18s manager and former Bolton player David Lee has influenced your game?

A: Massively, he understands each players individual strengths and weaknesses and works to improve on them.

Q: Finally, congratulations on your call up to the Wales U19 squad. Are you looking forward to playing and training with them?

A: Thank you, it will be fantastic to be involved with an international set up and to learn new things from different coaches.

Thanks very much to Jamie for his time and with his excellent goal scoring record and ability he certainly looks a talent worth nurturing.
